Mary Enslow

Mary Thérèse Enslow is a Washington State native. Having lived her early years in a number of places spanning the state, her childhood was spent on the water, in the backwoods and in the wide-open mostly empty desert. In these environs, she learned to appreciate the delicate details of the natural world. Then a dedicated scientist of red ants, maggots and all small lifeforms, now a devoted artist, coaxing you to review the mundane

Mary earned her degree in sculpture from the University of Washington in 2003. Here, her focus was metal casting. After completing her last quarter - which was spent in the studio art program in Rome - she began to pursue the business of art in Seattle with a impetus towards creating community and opportunity.

For the next ten years Mary's art involvement would be largely on the administrative side. Her most formative experience was co-founding Twilight Artist Collective (2005-2012).

In recent years she has refocused on her own art. Mary has been a member of CORE Gallery since 2013. In 2015, she opened up Pugmill Society, ceramic collective, at Equinox Studios in Georgetown. Within this facility and within the community of Equinox she has been able to amplify her growth as an artist.
