Myrna Keliher

Statement:

I have deep regard for language. I read poetry, write daily, set metal type, carve linocuts, project letterforms, and operate antique presses to make relief prints and paintings. Sometimes I build books and installations from these works.

I am interested in these edges: where negative space becomes positive, where marks become letters, where words become statements, where ideas become firmly held beliefs. No matter the project, I spend most of my time arranging space.
