I am interested in how works of art freeze moments and thoughts in time, similar to how a time capsule allows individual and collective experiences to be revisited and shared once again. Ideas and memories are reconstructed by the perceiver, however, and thus exist in states of subjective fluidity.

In this sense, the objective of my work is to capture the intangible. I seek to express impermanence and tap into the intricate, internal networks of the mind that link our present selves to the past and to possible futures.

I work in a range of media, including pencil, pen, ink, oil, and watercolor. My process emphasizes the deconstruction and recomposing of the visual landscape through multiple cycles of applying and removing layers of color and texture.
